Sensirion’s VOC and NOx sensors are designed for precise detection and continuous monitoring of nitrogen oxides and volatile organic compounds. These VOC/NOx sensors are metal oxide (MOX) based and integrate our CMOSens® sensor system onto a single chip. A MOX gas sensor operates with a heated metal-oxide surface whose electrical resistance changes in response to the oxygen concentration on its surface. Oxidizing gases like NOx increase the resistance by adding oxygen, while reducing gases such as VOCs lower the resistance by consuming oxygen through surface reactions. This allows for accurate detection of changing air compositions. Our VOC and NOx sensors are ideal for a variety of applications including air quality monitoring and indoor environmental sensing.
