Integrated sensor for metabolic breath analysis

The SBN41 is Sensirion’s fully integrated respiratory gas‑exchange sensor for high‑accuracy metabolic breath analysis. By combining O₂ and CO₂ sensing with on‑board pressure, temperature, and humidity measurement, the SBN41 delivers fully compensated dry‑gas concentrations and accurate respiratory exchange rate (RER) under dynamic breathing conditions.

Fast response time and advanced compensation algorithms ensure reliable breath‑by‑breath O₂ and CO₂ waveforms, from resting respiration to high‑intensity exercise. Its compact design, low sampling‑flow requirement, and support for passive integration close to the airway enable simple, flexible, and power‑efficient integration into next‑generation metabolic, fitness, and health‑monitoring devices.
