Condition monitoring & instrument diagnostics

Use Sensirion’s flow technology to see beyond the flow rate

Analytical insights into your instrument

Relying on microthermal technology, Sensirion sensors offer a highly repeatable flow measurement down to nanoliters per minute and have been used in a variety of analytical laboratory instruments for applications such as liquid handling and pump feedback control.

However, our sensors can do more. On top of flow monitoring, their high sensitivity and fast reaction time enable insights into the instrument’s health and condition by detecting valve ringing, backflow, mechanical wearing and bubbles.

Valve monitoring

Detect valve ringing, cloggings, degradations as well as backflow induced by closing the valve.

No alternate text provided

Mechanical oscillation

Oscillations within the instrument can be induced by component wear and pump instability, leading to incorrect flow delivery.

Bubbles detection

The difference in thermal properties of air bubbles compared to the flow medium leads to spikes in the signal, thus enabling bubble detection.
