It's hard to miss Shenojan Sathiyamohan and his colleagues at Sensirion. The apprentice computer scientist works in IT support and can be found wherever an expert for computers and software is needed. “Being a computer scientist has always been my dream job,” he says, before adding with a grin, “I was practically born with a computer in my hands.”
Shenojan is primarily responsible for internal customer support. He processes all queries sent to the support department through the service desk tool: this can be anything from setting up telephones for new employees to activating accounts and installing software – Shenojan helps us out with a wide variety of IT issues every day and plays an important role in the company. He's also responsible for updating our intranet – or rather, he writes scripts that make our digital lives easier.
Apprentices at Sensirion enjoy the same respect as trained staff. Everyone is appreciated here.
What does he especially like about Sensirion? “The global orientation is a key factor. I definitely wanted to work at an international company,” he replies. On the other hand, Shenojan enjoys the great variety in his job and the feeling of community.
